  • Visual simulator of navigation

    Visual simulator is a simulator of navigation. It contains interconnected simulation modules (separate executables) which exchange data between each other and exercise manager - main program which controls preparation and running exercises. Exercises are geographic areas with ships (active and inactive). Areas for an exercise can also be equipped with navigation signs.
    Active ships are able to carry electronic equipment i.e. simulators allocated for them. Simulators include radars, compasses, echo sounders, DSCs, marine radios etc.
    The exercise manager is the central component of the simulator intended to create new, save, load and run exercises, previously created or included in the installation.
    The simulator is supplied with a set of sample exercises.

    Standalone version

    Standalone version runs on a single computer; all simulators of equipment run on the same computer.
    To provide the user with easy access to all equipment, the window structure is organised as follows : full-screen visuals (if any specified) is the background window with multiple equipment windows on top. Equipment windows can be hidden or shown. If equipment windows are hidden, the user can move around the ship and change his/her viewing direction. Every equipment window is resizable. In addition, there is an "auto-arrange windows" feature.

    All simulator components are provided with a "help" feature activated by clicking on a simulator window to capture its focus and then pressing F1

    Network version

    The simulator can be installed on a Local Area Network (LAN).
    With a network installation, you can

  • simulate multiple active ships
  • arbitrarily distribute equipment simulators over computers of network
  • send/receive GMDSS messages and simulate radio voice between ships

    Hardware requirements

    No special hardware is needed, only conventional computer components.
    In case of extensive use of video, a good video card is needed, with passmark G3D 200-300 or higher.
    OS required : Windows2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 and 8.1; logon with administrative rights.
